    Regardless of what brings you to counseling or therapy, I am here to work with you to develop and implement a proactive and effective plan that will help you to be your best self, psychologically, whether it’s at work, school, or in your relationships.

    In my practice as a licensed clinical psychologist, my counseling approach integrates cognitive and behavioral assessments and interventions designed specifically for your current psychological goals, grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). As a psychology professor for nearly twenty years, I stay informed and integrate the current scientific literature on mental health, including ethical and evidence-based treatment practices, in therapy. Given that thousands of scientific studies across multiple decades have shown the effectiveness of CBT for a variety of psychological disorders and problems including depression, anxiety, anger, PTSD/trauma, this is my treatment of choice in my practice. I purposely keep my practice small in order to ensure that I can devote the thoughtful attention to each individual client throughout each stage of therapy including evaluation, treatment/action planning and relapse prevention. This personalized attention helps to build our therapeutic alliance and trust, which will facilitate positive outcomes for your mental health and well-being.     *Please note that due to the current state of the pandemic and in support of client health, all sessions are currently offered via a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of California so I can provide online treatment to clients who reside in San Diego and surrounding areas (Scripps Ranch, La Jolla, Rancho Bernardo, Poway, Mission Valley) as well as to individuals who reside across California.
